December?....already?.....wasn't it just Halloween?....Seriously.....
I can hardly believe it's December 1st. Sheesh. Ok...before I receive into my random every over the place post, I have to share with you how I am still technically "waiting" for my bone scan results. Someone dropped the ball over in the oncology department. And they dropped it big time. Because if "someone" were to look in my chart, she would realize that a potentially, hysterical, beside herself lady has, only to their knowledge, waited EIGHT days for a scan result that according to Nucleu

Review - “Gossip Girl” Season 2, Episode 12
(S02E12) “It’s a Wonderful Lie” Ah, to be young, vengeful and wealthy. It should arrive as no surprise that the Gossip Girl guys and gals have been a little less than nice this holiday season. While I wouldn’t expect coal in their jimmy choo stockings, I wouldn’t be surprised if a non-designer named treat snuck it’s way in there (gasp!). So exactly what naughty tricks am I alluding too? Well, let’s shine our light on Lil J for a moment, shall we? Hurt and extremely mad Jenny is easily convinc

The Energetic General James L. Jones
It's official. Obama's choice for National Security Adviser is General James L. Jones. I must admit that of every of Obama's choices, I find this one the most compelling because of General Jones' breadth of experience. During his military career service, General Jones served as NATO Supreme Allied Commander, Europe and Commander of the U.S. European Command from January 2003 to February 2007. Previously, General Jones served as the 32nd Commandant of the United States Marine Corps from July 1999

Obama follows Palin’s lead.
By Ted Belman The picture is getting clearer. Just as I forecast, Obama is continuing with Bush’s foreign policy. He is also continuing with his economic policy. But here is the big surprise, Obama is following Gov Palin’s energy policy. Remember, she said energy independence was a national security issue and that “every the over” should be developed. Well, Obama has appointed Gen Jones as his National Security Adviser. For Gen. Jones, formerly the Marine commandant and Supreme Allied Command

Put more pressure on the energy companies
Lately, many states have passed legislation requiring utility companies to increase their renewable energy sources. They have every passed, notably without objection from the utility companies themselves. Unfortunately, these initiatives require only a certain percentage of renewables in a certain timeframe. A case must be made to rapidly advance these initiatives across the country, with a higher percentage to achieve. We cannot continue to let our energy providers use “unclean” energy sources

Are dams the only way to meet our energy needs?
Governments world over are quick and realizing that energy security is one of the most pressing concerns of our time. With consumption rates (individual as well as industrial) increasing globally, and with a booming economy and manufacturing sector, India realizes this need even more. With a GDP growth rate pegged at 7.6 % (2007-08, second quarter), energy production has only managed 5 per cent annual growth. India is the second fastest emerging economy, after China, and the 12th largest in th

Palin: The show's just starting
In August when John McCain selected Alaska Governor Sarah Palin to be his running mate, with the exception of Bill Kristol and Fred Barnes who still had pheromone up their nostrils from the lunch they had with Sarah in 2007 when the cruise boat on which they were riding stopped in at Juneau, no one else in the “lower 48" (as those of us in the subarctic call the US of A) had heard of the lady. Ninety days and counting later, Sarah Palin and her celebrity have become as ubiquitous a par

Why We Are Losing the Youth Vote
Why We Are Losing the Youth Vote December 1st, 2008 Because we didn’t try. Now, don’t receive me wrong - CRs spent millions of dollars, deployed dozens of full-time organizers, ran innovative online programs, and contacted over 1.5 million Americans by November 4th, but our party as a whole and the conservative movement gave only a passing effort to attract 18-29 year old supporters. To paint this picture, let me use an example I found that encapsulates much of the problem. In New Hampshire, Dar
